The Early Intervention/Preschool Services Clinical Provider position is responsible for performing speech-language evaluations and therapy services with preschool and early intervention clients of the Emery Center housed within the College. The Emery Center offers a wide array of services including literacy tutoring, psychoeducational evaluations, speech-language evaluations and treatment, audiological evaluations, and related services. Additionally, the Center offers consultative support for children with autism spectrum disorders as well as a social and adaptive behavioral tutorial program.
This position works in the community, including home visits, daycare centers and preschools.
Provide 32-34 individual sessions per week of speech-language therapy and/or assessments with preschool and early intervention clients.
Travel to clients' locations, including home visits, daycare centers and preschools, on daily basis
Attend IFSP and/or CPSE meetings for Annual Reviews and/or program changes.
Consult with parents, teachers, day care providers, and municipality and school district officials.
Attend early intervention/preschool services staff meetings.
Attend weekly department meetings.
Complete required paperwork in a timely fashion according to agency, local and state guidelines.
Master's Degree required.
Must hold ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence, New York State License in Speech-Language Pathology and New York State Education Teacher of the Students with Speech-Language Disabilities Certification.
At least 3 years in early intervention and preschool services preferred
Ability to travel to clients' locations on daily basis
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills required.
Flexibility in managing clinical schedule.
Full year, Full-time. 40 hours/week.
