| Speech-Language Pathology – Clinical Faculty Rush University Medical Center Chicago, IL The Department of Communication Disorders & Sciences (CDS) in the College of Health Sciences at Rush University Medical Center is seeking an outstanding individual with expertise in the area of acquired speech and language disorders of adulthood to join the faculty in speech-language pathology at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor. This tenure-track position provides excellent opportunities for teaching, research, and scholarship. An opportunity is also available for candidates with program management experience to be considered for the position of Speech-Language Pathology Program Director. The successful candidate will hold a faculty appointment in CDS. This individual will serve as director for courses in CDS and will develop a record of research and scholarship that includes extramural funding for research. The candidate will assume the responsibilities of an academic leader at Rush as demonstrated by participation in University, college, departmental, and other professional service activities. The candidate will serve as an effective academic advisor and clinical supervisor to Rush graduate students. Qualifications for the position include a Ph.D. Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field and evidence of teaching and research potential. Candidates should possess the CCC-SLP and be eligible for Illinois licensure in speech-language pathology. Expertise in aphasia, apraxia of speech, and other acquired cognitive-communication disorders preferred.
